Meet Your Pastor
Pastor Myckal Morehouse
Lead Pastor, Sandpoint Seventh-day Adventist Church
Our Story
One Tiny Mustard Seed began high in the mountains of North Idaho.
My wife and I were trying to think through how to take everything I had developed as a local church pastor — the evangelistic series, the sermons, the small group studies, the slide decks, the church programs, the systems that had brought genuine growth and health to the churches I’d served — and package it into a ministry that could help other small churches experience the same thing.
Too many small churches exist week to week without a clear program or any helpful direction. Not because their pastors don’t care — most of them care enormously — but because building all of this from scratch is more than one stretched-thin pastor can do alone. We saw the gap. We knew we could help close it. One Tiny Mustard Seed was born from that conviction.
The Deeper Story
But the real story goes much further back than a conversation in the mountains.
When I was first called to ministry, I didn’t believe I was worthy of it. I wasn’t convinced I was good enough or equipped enough to be a pastor. I was grateful — deeply grateful — that the Lord had saved me, and honestly, that felt like enough.
But God planted a tiny seed in my heart. He wanted to use me — little, imperfect me — to do a bigger work than I could see. Over weeks and months, that seed grew. And I slowly became convinced that God could do something inside of me that I wasn’t currently equipped for and felt unworthy of.
The moment I trusted Him, miracles started happening.
God miraculously opened a door for me to go to Australia, where I was trained in ministry and my calling was confirmed. Over a year and a half there, I was given visions of large crowds of people whose lives the Holy Spirit would touch through mine. From that moment, I have watched the power of God show up — not just in my life, but through my life — as I’ve submitted my childlike, mustard-seed faith into His hands.
The Pattern
That same pattern is at the heart of One Tiny Mustard Seed.
The glory goes to God. The growth is His doing. What we offer is a glimpse of what’s possible when a single believer — or a single pastor, or a single small church, or even a whole conference — places their life and their ministry, with mustard-seed faith, into the hands of God.
He’s still the One who moves mountains. We just hand Him the seed.
